Hi,

While the snow animation on the www.scala-lang.org pages is cute, it
soaks up 100% of one CPU whenever one of those pages is visible in the
browser.

Could it be turned off now?

(I assume the servers and their administrators are in Switzerland...
Can't you all look out a window or something? Besides, some of us live
where we do 'cause we fled snowy winters!)

Re: CPU-Intensive Snow

Hi Randall,

I used to have the same problem, but I got rid of it myself using the
Firefox extension Adblock plus

https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865

if you want to reformat a page (to print for instance), you could use
aardvark firefox extension:

http://karmatics.com/aardvark/

cheers

Re: CPU-Intensive Snow

OK, fine, I'll switch it off :)
I'll look into reducing the cpu utilization for next year :)
